ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Root canal treatment is a dental procedure used to treat infection or damage inside a tooth's pulp (the soft tissue containing nerves and blood vessels). During the procedure, the dentist removes the infected or damaged pulp, cleans the interior of the tooth, and then seals it to prevent further infection. Afterward, the tooth is often restored with a crown to protect it and restore its function. Root canal treatment helps save a tooth that might otherwise need to be extracted and alleviates pain caused by infection or injury to the tooth's nerve.
